The 2007 "Grassroots Use of Technology" conference will kick off with Penguin Day Lowell on Friday, June 22nd. Official conference activities will take place on Saturday, June 23rd, 2007. The conference will be located at the University of Massachusetts, Lowell Campus. OC is co-locating this event with the Grassroots Radio Conference happening from June 21st-24th. Penguin Day Lowell activities are being organized in collaobration with the Nonprofit Open Source Initiative, Aspiration, and the Community Software Lab.

We anticipate nearly 500 folks from the grassroots technology and grassroot media movements to be in attendence with a healthy mix of nonprofit staff and technologists. Sponsorship information for the conference can be found here:
