RootscampDC --

Super-Duper-Fat-Tuesday has come and gone, so now it's time to get ready for the next great event - RootscampDC! On April 12-13 campaign staff, organizers, volunteers and experts in our field will join together in Washington, DC for one of the most exciting, inspiring and, yes, productive "un-conferences" out there.

We've pushed the date back a few weeks to make sure that everyone who is doing amazing working on primary campaigns can join us. This will be the perfect time to get everyone together to take a deep breath, share innovations, failures, old wisdom and new discoveries, and then hit the road running towards November, and beyond!

If you've participated in Rootscamp before, you have an idea about what to expect. If not, there's never been a better time to join in the fun!

Still curious about what Rootscamp is all about? Rootscamp is participant driven, using the "unconference" or "open space" model that fosters an open dialogue between some of the best activists, field organizers, leaders, techies, fundraisers, and bloggers out there. There are NO SPECTATORS - we want to hear form everyone!

WHO: Rootscamp is EVERYONE!
From people working on the 2008 elections, to citizen activists, precinct organizers, volunteers, leaders of progressive organizations, or campaign and legislative professionals.
We are reserving 150 spots for current campaign staff (since some of them are a little busy right about now).

WHEN: Saturday, April 12 and Sunday, April 13
10 am - 6 pm
(Breakfast available starting at 9:30 am, opening session starts at 10am)

WHERE: National Education Association
1201 16th Street NW
Washington DC 20036

COST: RootscampDC is completely FREE for all participants
We are seeking sponsors to help cover the costs or organizing this great event. If you or your organization are interested in becoming a Rootscamp Sponsor, please email Lola for more information.

Today, innovations in organizing, tech, and media happen at all levels of a campaign, and we want to hear about it all! Don't forget to tell your friends and colleagues about Rootscamp too - especially people currently working in the field on campaigns.
