Organizational Expansion

o Hired new executive director in Fall 2006
o Hired new database support consultant in Fall 2007
o Board engaged in strategic vision process
o Improved financial reporting systems

Training and Tech Assistance

o Continued Boston Organizational Divide Initiative (ODI) to bring needed technical skills to nonprofits in underserved areas and to arts organizations in Boston.
o Responded to dozens of inquiries each year from community organizations on how to use technology.

Software Support

Provided support for our flagship software product, the Organizers' Database (ODB). During 2007, downloads of ODB continued to increase from 300 per month to an average of 700 per month by November of 2007. New groups served include:

National Network for Immigrant and Refugee Rights, Massachusetts Advocates for Children, Massachusetts Citizens Against the Death Penalty, Southwest Boston CDC, Civics Center, The Niagara Arts & Cultural Center, Apeiron Institute for Environmental Living, Prisoner Information Network, and the National Organization for Women, Massachusetts Chapter

Annual Conference

Held annual Grassroots Use of Technology conference in collaboration with the Grassroots Radio Coalition in June of 2007. Nearly 400 people attended the joint endeavor.

Open Source Software Development

Released upgraded version of our free, grassroots organizing software (ODB) in February of 2007.
